Transcribe a long YouTube video from start to finish
Paste the link to a podcast, lecture, sermon or meeting of up to 6 hours and get every word as one transcript with timestamps, not a summary and not a set of pieces. The first part is free without an account; the whole video costs $5, the same as a short one.
- Videos up to 6 hours for one payment (12 hours on Unlimited)
- The price does not change with the length: $5 for the whole video
- Split into parts of up to 10 minutes, each written out in full, joined in order
- Timestamps counted from the start of the video, so [2:41:07] means 2 hours 41 minutes in
- Download as TXT or Word; edit on screen first if you like

Transcript
Real output from a Creative Commons video, shortened here. This video has captions by its creator, so they were used; a video without captions is transcribed from the audio. The Spanish lines are the tool’s translation.
Why long videos come back short
A three-hour video holds tens of thousands of words. A chat reply has a practical size limit, so an assistant asked for all of it tends to summarise or stop, and without captions it has nothing to read from the link at all. Caption tools only work when captions exist.
This tool never asks one model call to handle the whole video. When the video has good captions they are used directly. Otherwise the audio is cut into parts of up to ten minutes and each part is transcribed completely with the same instructions; every timestamp is shifted by where its part starts, and the parts are joined in order.
Pricing for long videos
One payment of $5 unlocks the whole video, whatever its length up to 6 hours. There is no per-minute charge and no subscription. If you transcribe long videos often, Unlimited costs $29 a month and covers videos up to 12 hours each.

Questions and answers
How much does a 3-hour video cost?
$5, the same as a 10-minute one. One payment, no subscription.
What is the longest video I can transcribe?
6 hours with one payment, 12 hours per video on Unlimited.
How long does it take?
With captions, a few minutes even for a long video. When the audio has to be transcribed, the parts are processed in parallel after you unlock; a long video usually takes some minutes, and you can leave the page and come back.
Can I transcribe a live stream recording?
Yes, once the stream has ended and YouTube has published the recording. A stream that is still running cannot be read.
