Chat assistants are good at short conversations. A long export is a different job.

Why long chats break in a chat window
A chat assistant answers within a limited reply. A conversation of several thousand messages is longer than that, so the assistant either summarizes it or stops partway, often without saying where. Voice notes make it harder: they are separate audio files in the export, and a long chat can hold hundreds of them.
This tool splits the chat into blocks of consecutive messages, handles each block on its own, voice notes included, and puts them back together in the original order. The cover page states the number of messages and voice notes, so you can check it against your phone.
The limits, plainly
- One payment of $5: the first 10,000 messages of the chat
- Unlimited, $19 a week: chats of up to 30,000 messages
- Chats longer than 30,000 messages: the first 30,000 are converted; write to [email protected] about the rest
- WhatsApp may leave the oldest messages out of an export with media, so a very old conversation can need a second export
Finding what matters in a long chat
With the whole chat unlocked, Find every message searches all of it, voice-note transcripts included, and lists each match with its number, date and sender; the matches download as their own PDF. Redact and select lets you hand over only a period or certain people, with phone numbers and addresses removed, while the message numbers stay as in the export.

How many messages can I convert at once?
One payment of $5 covers a chat of up to 10,000 messages, voice notes included. Unlimited covers chats of up to 30,000 messages.
Can ChatGPT read a very long WhatsApp chat?
It can read part of it. A long export is more than one reply can hold, so it tends to summarize or stop partway, and it usually cannot open the voice notes in the export. For a complete record, use a tool that processes the chat block by block.
How long does it take?
Most of the time goes into the voice notes. In our own test, a 3,000-message export with 52 voice notes and 28 photos became a 199-page PDF in about two minutes.
Does a longer chat cost more?
No. Up to 10,000 messages it is $5, however many voice notes it has. Above that, Unlimited covers chats of up to 30,000 messages.
My export is very large. Can I still upload it?
Large exports are uploaded in parts, so an export of a few hundred megabytes with photos is normal. If yours is too large because of long videos, write to [email protected].
