Translate SRT subtitles to Bangla, from one film to a full season
Upload SRT or VTT files and get every subtitle line in Bengali (Bangla), written in Bengali script, with the numbering and time codes your file already has. The first part is free and shown on screen, no account needed. A whole job of up to 30 files and 10,000 lines is $5.
- Bengali script output in standard Unicode
- One Bengali target, in the standard written language read in Bangladesh and West Bengal
- Lines never merged or split; timing comes from your file
- Original line above the Bangla in bilingual mode
- $5 once for up to 10,000 lines
Every line, on its timing.
The numbers and time codes of your file are kept exactly; only the words change. Right-to-left languages get the marks players need to show punctuation in the right place.

Bangladesh, West Bengal and the words in between
Standard written Bengali is shared by Bangladesh and the Indian state of West Bengal, which is why one target serves both. Spoken dialogue is where they part: some everyday words, kinship terms and greetings differ, with Bangladeshi usage tending to keep more words of Arabic and Persian origin and West Bengal usage borrowing more from Hindi. Subtitles are dialogue, so these choices show.
The tool does not pick a regional variety on its own. Read the free first part, and if a word reads wrong for your viewers, change it on screen; edits go into the downloaded file.
Conjuncts, vowel signs and line length
Bengali script joins consonants into conjuncts and attaches vowel signs before, after, above or below a letter. Each of those is a separate character in the file, so a Bangla line holds more characters than it appears to. The model is asked for at most two lines of about 42 characters where possible, but some lines run longer; the tool never trims text to make it fit, and each subtitle keeps its original timing.
Display is rarely a problem on current phones and computers. If an old TV shows broken conjuncts, its font lacks proper Bengali shaping; VLC or a browser player usually renders the file correctly.
Who needs Bangla subtitles
- Bangladeshi and Bengali families abroad watching English or Korean series together
- Teachers and tutors using English videos with Bengali-speaking students
- Workplace training programs with instructional videos for Bengali-speaking staff
- YouTubers and course creators adding a Bangla subtitle track
Why a whole film goes wrong in a chat
A subtitle file is hundreds or thousands of numbered entries. Rewriting all of it in one chat reply is where assistants slip: they stop, skip a stretch or renumber, and the rest of the file falls out of step. This tool sends the text in blocks of up to 60 lines, requires every line back under its own id and asks once more for any that are missing.
How the tool works, what it costs and how your files are handled is on the Subtitle Translator page; prices for every tool are on the pricing page.

Questions and answers
Can ChatGPT translate an SRT file to Bengali?
For a short clip it can do a decent job. A long subtitle file often exceeds what one chat reply holds, and the result tends to stop partway, merge lines or renumber them, so the subtitles fall out of step with the video.
Is it Bangladesh Bengali or Indian Bengali?
Standard written Bengali, which readers in both countries read. Regional words can be adjusted on screen before you download.
Can I translate Bengali subtitles into English?
Yes. Upload the Bengali file and choose English. You do not need to say what the source language is.
Does it keep italics?
Yes. Tags such as <i> and <font>, and SRT position codes such as {\an8}, stay around the same words.
How much is it?
Seeing the first part costs nothing. Unlocking every file in the job, up to 10,000 lines, is $5 once. Unlimited, at $19 a week, raises the cap to 30,000 lines per job.
What if a line fails to translate?
Missing lines are requested a second time. If one still does not come back, the original line stays in its place, so the file remains complete and in sync.
