Convert Arabizi (Franco-Arabic) into Arabic script, dialect and lines kept
Upload a .txt, Word or Markdown file written in Arabizi, Arabic typed with Latin letters and numbers such as "3amel eh? ana kwayes", and get it back in Arabic script: عامل ايه؟ انا كويس. The dialect stays the dialect, and every line stays a line. The first part is free without an account; up to about 200 pages is $5.
- Numbers read as letters: 2 = ء, 3 = ع, 5 = خ, 7 = ح, 9 = ق or ص as the word needs
- Egyptian, Levantine, Gulf or Maghrebi dialect written as spoken, not turned into formal Arabic
- English and French words kept in Latin letters
- Every line kept and checked
- Word files come back right to left
Reading the numbers
Arabizi grew out of keyboards without Arabic letters: numbers stand in for sounds Latin letters lack, 3 for ع, 7 for ح, 2 for the hamza, 5 for خ, and 9 or 8 for other letters depending on the region. The same word is typed differently from Cairo to Beirut. Converting it means recognizing the word, in its dialect, and writing it as Arabic speakers of that dialect would write it.
This is transliteration: an Egyptian sentence stays Egyptian, with "eh" written ايه, not translated into formal Arabic. If you need Modern Standard Arabic or English, convert first and then translate.

Limits worth knowing
Arabizi is highly variable and some messages are ambiguous even for native readers; check names and rare words, and list names under "Never change" to keep them as written. Mixed messages with French or English are kept in those languages. For the reverse, Arabic script to Arabizi, choose that direction before you start.
