PowerPoint translator
Translate a PowerPoint presentation and keep every slide as designed
Upload a .pptx, choose a language, and get the same presentation back with the text of every slide translated in place: titles, text boxes, tables, grouped shapes and speaker notes. Layout, fonts, colors, images and animations stay as they were, and long translations are scaled to fit their box. The first part is free with no sign-up; the whole deck is $5 as one payment. A chatbot can translate the text of a few slides, but you are left pasting it back box by box, and it gives no .pptx.
- Up to 40 paragraphs of slide text free in full; larger decks start with a free first part
- Whole deck $5, one payment: typically about 300 slides (400,000 characters)
- Same .pptx back: every text box, table, grouped shape and speaker note translated in place
- Design, positions, fonts, images and animations untouched
- Text that grows is scaled down to fit its box; Arabic, Persian, Urdu and Hebrew right-aligned and right to left
- 81 languages, formal or informal tone, glossary and names to keep
What you get back
You get your deck back, translated: pitch.pptx comes back as pitch.fr.pptx, slide for slide. Before you download, every piece of slide text is shown on screen next to its original, grouped by slide, and you can edit any of it; the download uses your edits.
- The translated .pptx, in the order of your slides, including hidden slides and speaker notes.
- Formatting inside a line stays on the right words: a bold figure, a colored word or a link keeps its style after translation.
- Where a translation is clearly longer than the original (German and Russian often are), that text box is set to shrink text on overflow, with a smaller text scale, so the slide keeps its layout.
- A warnings list (CSV) of any paragraph that could not be translated cleanly; it keeps its original text.
Translating slides with a chatbot, and with this tool
Chat assistants are good at translating a slide or two of text, and some can read a .pptx. What usually goes wrong is getting the result back into the deck, and doing it for every box on 60 or 90 slides.
| Your situation | A chatbot | This tool |
|---|---|---|
| The text of three slides | Usually translates it well | Translates it and gives you the .pptx back |
| A 90-slide deck | Tends to stop partway or summarize; you paste text back into each box | Translates every text box and table in place, slide by slide |
| Speaker notes | Often left out unless you paste them separately | Translated along with the slide they belong to |
| A bold number inside a sentence | The formatting is lost when text is pasted back | Kept on the same word or number |
| Arabic or Persian slides | Text pasted into a left-aligned box reads in the wrong direction | Paragraphs set right to left and right-aligned, tables right to left |
| Longer translated text | Overflows the box; you resize every slide | Text scale reduced in boxes where the translation grew |

Why decks trip up general AI assistants
A presentation is not one text. It is dozens of small text boxes, tables and notes, each placed on a slide with its own size and style. An assistant that translates the text still leaves you to put each piece back in the right box, and a long deck rarely fits in one reply.
This tool reads the slides in presentation order, takes each paragraph from each box, table cell and note, and sends them in blocks with their slide number and role (title, subtitle, table cell, notes) as context. Every paragraph must come back, with its formatting markers. The .pptx is then rebuilt from your original file, so nothing that is not text changes.
What people translate
- Sales and pitch decks for a new market, for example English to Arabic or Spanish
- Training and onboarding slides with speaker notes
- Conference talks and university lectures
- Board and investor presentations with tables of figures
- Course slides prepared in one language for students who read another
What it does not do
Text inside images, charts, SmartArt graphics and embedded objects is not translated. Slide masters and layouts are left as they are; placeholder prompts such as "Click to add title" are not visible in a finished deck. Old .ppt files and Keynote files need to be saved as .pptx first.
Shrinking text keeps it inside its box, but a slide with much longer text can look crowded: look through slides with dense text after downloading. One payment covers up to 10 files and 400,000 characters of slide text, typically about 300 slides; Unlimited covers about 900 slides per job.

Questions and answers
Can ChatGPT translate a PowerPoint file?
It can translate slide text you paste in, and some versions read a .pptx. On a long deck it tends to stop partway, and putting the text back into every box is left to you. This tool returns the same .pptx with every box, table and note translated.
Will the design and fonts stay the same?
Yes. Only the text changes. Positions, fonts, colors, images, transitions and animations are copied from your file. Bold, italic and links inside a line stay on the same words.
What happens when the translation is longer?
Boxes where the translated text is clearly longer get a smaller text scale and are set to shrink text on overflow, so the text stays inside the box. Check slides with dense text after downloading.
Are speaker notes and tables translated?
Yes. Table cells, grouped shapes and speaker notes are translated together with the slide they belong to.
Does it work for Arabic, Persian or Hebrew?
Yes. Translated paragraphs are set right to left and right-aligned, and tables with translated text are set right to left.
How big can the deck be?
Up to 10 .pptx files of up to 200 MB each, with up to 400,000 characters of text for $5, typically about 300 slides. Images do not count toward the limit.
Is it free?
The first part of every deck is translated free and shown on screen, with no account. A deck with up to 40 paragraphs of text is free in full. The whole of a larger deck is $5, paid once.
Are my slides private?
Only you can open your job. The text is sent to an AI model provider only to translate it and is not used for training. Jobs uploaded without an account are deleted after 7 days, and you can delete a job at any time.
