Persian subtitles for a video in any language

Upload a video in English, German, Arabic or another language and get Persian (Farsi) subtitles timed to the speech, as SRT and VTT, plus an SRT in the language spoken. Every Persian line starts with a right-to-left mark so TVs and VLC put punctuation on the correct side. Up to 15 minutes is free in full; the whole video is $5, up to 6 hours.

Make subtitles for a video file

Google Drive or Dropbox share links (set to “anyone with the link”) and direct file links work.

Output

No sign-up. Up to 15 minutes free in full. Longer: the first part free, the whole subtitle file $5, one payment.

By continuing you agree to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

  • Subtitles in Persian as written in Iran, in Persian script
  • Made from the audio: the video needs no existing subtitles
  • A right-to-left mark on every Persian line, saved as UTF-8 with a byte order mark
  • Two languages in the download: Persian, and the language spoken
  • Unlimited covers up to 12 hours per video, at $19 a week

When there is no subtitle file to translate

If you already have an SRT, a subtitle translator can convert it line by line and keep your exact timings. Often you have only the video: a course in English, a documentary someone sent you, a talk in German, a wedding filmed abroad. This tool starts from the sound. It writes timed cues in the language spoken, then translates each cue into Persian and keeps its timing.

Leave the spoken language on Auto-detect or pick it yourself; choosing it helps when the video opens with music or with a different language.

What makes a Persian SRT play correctly

  • UTF-8 with a byte order mark, so a TV that guesses the encoding does not show question marks or Latin gibberish
  • A right-to-left mark at the start of each line, so a period or question mark ends up on the left
  • Many TVs load an SRT named exactly like the video and placed next to it in the same folder or USB stick
  • In VLC, use Subtitle > Add subtitle file
  • The device needs a font with Persian letters; most current phones, computers and TVs have one

Why a chat assistant struggles with this

A chat assistant can translate a handful of subtitle lines into Persian well. The trouble is length and timing. A feature-length video means hundreds of cues; assistants that accept audio cap the file length, and a long subtitle file does not fit in one reply, so it is cut off or summarized. Even when text comes back, it rarely carries reliable timestamps for a long file. Here every ten-minute part is handled the same way and joined in order, and code checks cue order and overlaps.

Limits

Timings are close to the speech but not frame-exact; adjust a scene in a subtitle editor if it matters. The Persian is an AI translation for watching, not a certified translation. Slang, jokes and names can come out too literal, so look at the free first part before you pay. Dari speakers can usually read it, though some words differ.

Questions and answers

Can ChatGPT add Persian subtitles to my video?

It can translate short pieces of text into Persian well. For a whole video it tends to run into audio length limits and reply length, and it cannot time hundreds of cues reliably.

I already have English subtitles. Should I use this?

No. Translating the SRT file itself keeps your exact timings and is the better choice; use the SRT translator for that. This tool is for videos that have only sound.

Can I get English and Persian together on screen?

Yes. Choose Bilingual as the output, and each subtitle shows the spoken line above the Persian line.

How much does a movie-length video cost?

$5, once, for a video of up to 6 hours. A video of up to 15 minutes is free in full, downloads included.

Who can see my video?

Only you. It is sent to an AI model provider to be processed and is not used to train models. Jobs started without an account are deleted after 7 days.
