Turn a Persian (Farsi) book or thesis into an audiobook
Upload a Persian (Farsi) text as an EPUB, Word document, TXT or PDF with selectable text, and an AI narrator reads it aloud in Persian, chapter by chapter, as MP3 files. Persian was tested with this voice, but listen to the free opening of your own text before you pay. Texts of up to 5,000 characters are free in full; a longer book or thesis costs $5, paid once, for up to 600,000 characters.
- Persian is read in its right-to-left reading order from EPUB, DOCX and TXT files
- Text without short-vowel marks works; you do not need to add them
- Chapters from Word Heading 1/2 styles, EPUB pages, or lines such as "فصل ۱" or "بخش دوم"
- One narrator voice, speaking the language the text is written in
- Up to 600,000 characters for $5, 1,500,000 on Unlimited
Why Persian readers have few audio options
Few Persian books have an audiobook edition, and theses, journal articles and long essays almost never do. If you would rather listen than read, on a commute or because hours of screen reading tire your eyes, the usual choice has been to wait for a volunteer narrator or record it yourself.
Here the file itself is the source. The narrator reads the words you upload, so a thesis you finished last month or an essay collection nobody ever recorded can become audio without anyone sitting in front of a microphone.
Preparing a Persian file
- Word or EPUB is the safest choice: the text is stored in reading order, so right-to-left sentences reach the narrator the way you wrote them
- In Word, give chapter titles the Heading 1 or Heading 2 style. In a TXT file, put each chapter title on its own line, after an empty line, starting with فصل or بخش, such as "فصل ۳: بازگشت"; a line starting with "#" works too
- Short-vowel marks are optional. Unmarked text is read as written; adding marks to a word that keeps being misread may help
- Numbers can be in Persian digits (۱۲۳) or Western digits (123). Years, dates and long figures are where odd readings are most likely
- To test a tricky passage, save a sample page of up to 5,000 characters as its own file: a file that short is read in full for free
- Persian PDFs are a weak spot, since text pulled from a PDF can come out with letters out of order or words broken apart. Upload the DOCX or EPUB if you have it
Dari and mixed-language texts
Dari is written in the same script, so a Dari file opens and is read the same way. The voice was tested on Persian, and differences in Dari vocabulary and pronunciation have not been checked separately. Upload your text and listen to the opening before paying for the whole book.
A thesis with English terms, references or abbreviations inside Persian sentences is read as it stands. Latin-script words may come out with a Persian accent, or the other way round, so expect a few rough spots in a heavily mixed text.
How the tool works, what it costs and how your files are handled is on the Text to Audiobook page; prices for every tool are on the pricing page.

Questions and answers
Can ChatGPT read a Persian book aloud?
Voice mode can read a short Persian passage, and for a paragraph that may be enough. It does not give you MP3 files, and a whole book or thesis is much longer than one chat can get through, so you would be pasting and recording it in hundreds of pieces.
How much does a Persian audiobook cost?
$5, paid once, for up to 600,000 characters. Texts of up to 5,000 characters are free in full. Unlimited costs $19 a week and allows 1,500,000 characters per job.
Does the narrator read right-to-left text correctly?
Yes for EPUB, Word and TXT files, where Persian is stored in reading order, and sentences and paragraphs keep the order they have in the file. PDFs are less predictable, so check the opening.
Do I need to add diacritics?
No. Ordinary Persian without short-vowel marks is read as it is. Marks can be added to individual words if one is pronounced wrongly.
Can it read Dari?
Dari uses the same script and is read the same way, but it was not tested separately from Persian. The free opening tells you how your text sounds before you pay.
Is my thesis kept private?
Only you can open your job. The text is sent to an AI model provider only to be read aloud and is not used to train models. Jobs started without an account are deleted after 7 days, and you can delete a job whenever you like.
