What you get back
Your own export, in the same format and encoding, ready to import or upload, with a language code in the name, for example products_export.fr.csv. The first products are shown on screen next to the original before you pay, and you can edit any cell.
- The same rows and columns. Fields that are not translated are copied from your file byte for byte, including the empty variant rows of a Shopify export.
- Shopify: Title, Body (HTML), SEO Title, SEO Description and Image Alt Text. A Translate & Adapt export gets its Translated content column filled.
- WooCommerce: Name, Short description, Description, Purchase note and Button text. BigCommerce: Product Name, Product Description, Page Title, Meta Description and Search Keywords.
- Amazon flat file: item_name, product_description, bullet_point1 to 5, generic_keywords and special features. The three header rows stay as they are; in Excel templates only the Template sheet is translated and macros are kept.
- A warnings list of any cell where a tag, placeholder or brand name did not survive two tries; those cells keep the original text.
Translating a catalog with a chatbot, and with this tool

Why big catalogs trip up general AI assistants
To translate a catalog in a chat, the assistant has to write the whole export back: every row, every handle and price, every empty variant row. A catalog of a few thousand products is longer than one reply can be, so the answer stops partway or the end gets shortened. And because the model writes the codes along with the text, a translated handle or a merged row is enough to make the import create duplicates.
This tool never asks a model to rewrite the file. It reads the export, recognizes the platform from the header and sends only the text of the chosen fields, in blocks of up to 60 cells, with HTML tags replaced by markers. Every answer is checked for its markers, placeholders and brand names; a cell that fails is asked again and otherwise keeps its original text. Large catalogs are translated in parts of up to 600 cells, one after another, and the file is then rebuilt from your original.
How big a catalog fits
A cell is one field of one product that has text in it; empty variant rows do not count. One payment covers 50,000 cells and 4,000,000 characters, whichever comes first. A 20,000-product export with only titles and SEO titles is about 40,000 cells and usually well under the character limit, so it fits in one payment. Full HTML descriptions are longer, often 600 to 1,500 characters each, so with descriptions one payment covers a few thousand products.
Unlimited covers 200,000 cells and 20,000,000 characters in a single job: a 20,000-product catalog with title, description and SEO fields fits when each product's text averages under about 1,000 characters. If a file is bigger than your plan, the extra cells stay in the original language and the screen tells you how many before you pay.
What it does not do
It does not connect to your store or upload anything: you export, translate and import the file yourself. It does not translate option values (Red, XL), tags, categories or image file names, because stores match variants and collections by them; tick those columns yourself if your new store should use translated names.
One file per job, up to 100 MB. It is machine translation checked for structure, not for meaning; it suits product listings well, and safety or legal text should be reviewed by a person.

Can ChatGPT translate a Shopify product CSV?
A few products, yes. A full export has to come back in one reply, so a chatbot tends to stop partway, and nothing stops it from changing handles, SKUs or HTML. This tool translates only the text fields, in parts, and rebuilds the file from your original.
Can I translate 20,000 products in one job?
Yes, within the limits. One payment covers 50,000 cells and 4,000,000 characters, enough for 20,000 product titles and SEO titles. With long HTML descriptions, Unlimited covers 200,000 cells and 20,000,000 characters in one job.
Which platforms are recognized?
Shopify product and Translate & Adapt exports, WooCommerce product exports, BigCommerce product exports and Amazon flat files as tab-delimited .txt, .xlsx or .xlsm. Any other CSV or Excel file works too; you choose the columns.
Will the import still work?
The file keeps its header, columns and rows, and every untranslated field is copied byte for byte, so it imports the same way it exported. Handles, SKUs, prices and option values are never translated unless you choose them.
Does it keep the HTML in descriptions?
Yes. Tags are replaced with markers before translation and put back afterwards, so classes, links and image sources stay. Each cell is checked to contain every marker.
Can I keep brand names and my own terms?
Yes. Names listed under "Never translate" are kept and checked in every cell, and glossary lines such as checkout = Kasse are given to the translator for every block.
Is it free?
A file of up to 300 cells is free in full. For bigger files the first products are translated free on screen, with no account. The whole file is $5 paid once.
Are my files private?
Only you can open your job. The text of the chosen fields is sent to an AI model provider for the sole purpose of translating it, through routes that do not use your data for training. Jobs uploaded without an account are deleted after 7 days, and you can delete any job yourself at any time.
