Price tracker
Price tracker that emails you when a price drops or a page changes
Paste the address of a product page and see its current price right away, with no sign-up. Create a free account and we check the page again every 24 hours and email you when the price goes down or up. Unlimited tracks 25 pages and checks them every hour. This is the part a chatbot cannot do: it does not come back to a page tomorrow, and it cannot send you an alert.
- Check a public product page now, no account needed
- Free account: 1 tracker, checked once every 24 hours
- Unlimited: 25 trackers, checked every hour
- Email when the price goes down or up, with the old price and the new one
- Or watch any page for a change in its text
- No browser extension, no app, and you can delete a tracker any time
Why a chatbot is the wrong tool for tracking a price
ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini can often tell you what something costs today, if they are able to open the page. Tracking is a different job. It means going back to the same page again and again, remembering the last number, and speaking up only when it moves. A chat answers when you ask and then stops.
| Your situation | A chatbot | This tool |
|---|---|---|
| You want today's price for one item | Can often look it up, if it can open the page | Opens the page in a real browser and reads the price shown |
| You want to know when the price drops | Does not return to a page on its own; you have to ask again | Checks again on a schedule and emails you when the price changes |
| You ask again next week | Usually has no record of last week's price to compare with | Keeps the last reading and compares every new one with it |
| The store builds its price with scripts | Often sees a page without the price, or is turned away | Loads the full page the way a visitor sees it |
| No price can be found | Tends to answer anyway, with an old or third-party figure | Says no price was found and never estimates one |
| You care about wording, not a number | Cannot compare today's page with last week's | Saves the page text and emails you when it changes |
How to track a price
-
1
Paste the page address
Copy the address of the product page from your browser and paste it in. Choose whether to watch the price or any change on the page.
-
2
See the current price
We open the page in a real browser and show you the price we read, right away and without an account. If the number is wrong or missing, you know before you set anything up.
-
3
Turn on the email alert
Create a free account with your email address. We check the page on a schedule and write to you when the price changes. Delete the tracker whenever you are done.
Why tracking a price trips up general AI assistants
Tracking is not a question. It is a chore repeated over time: open the same page tomorrow and the day after, compare the number with the last one, and speak up only when it moves. A chat assistant is built for the opposite pattern. It answers when you ask and then stops. In a normal chat it does not go back to a page on its own, it has no stored price from yesterday to compare against, and it has no way to email you.
Even the single look is shaky. Many store pages build the price with scripts after the page loads, and many turn automated visitors away. A chatbot that cannot see the price tends to answer anyway, with a figure from an older copy of the page or from a different site, and nothing in the reply tells you which.
This tool does the dull part. It opens the page in a real browser, the way a visitor would see it, and reads the price that is shown. The reading is done by an AI model that is instructed to copy the number exactly as it appears and to report no price at all when the page shows none. Then the page is checked again on a schedule, the new reading is compared with the last one, and you get an email only when the two differ.
What people track
- A big purchase that can wait for a better price: a laptop, a mattress, a camera
- Something you buy again and again, to restock when it is cheaper
- A gift you plan to buy before a holiday
- A competitor's product or pricing page
- A sold-out item, watching the page for any change in its wording
- A policy, terms or documentation page you need to know has changed
What the alert tells you
The email names the product, gives the price now and the price at the last check, and links straight to the page. You hear about every change, whether the price went down or up. In page-change mode the email says that the text of the page is different from the last check.
If a later check cannot read a price, for example because the store showed a blocking page that day, that is not treated as a change. No alert is sent and the page is tried again at the next check.
Getting a clean reading, and where the tool stops
- Use the address of the product page itself, not a search result or a category page with many prices on it.
- The page has to be public. A page behind a login cannot be opened.
- Some stores block automated visits. When that happens no price can be read, and the free first check shows you that before you create an account.
- The price is the one shown to a visitor who is not signed in, with no location, size or color chosen. Member prices and prices that appear only after you pick a variant are not read.
- When a sale price and a crossed-out original price are both shown, the sale price is the one tracked. Shipping, installments and add-ons are ignored.
- In page-change mode the wording is compared and digits are ignored, so clocks and counters do not set off false alarms. To follow a number, track the price.
- It does not buy anything, it does not apply coupons, and it has no record of what the item cost before you started tracking.

Questions and answers
Is the price tracker free?
Yes, to start. Checking the current price of a page is free and needs no account. A free account keeps 1 tracker running, checked once every 24 hours, with email alerts. Unlimited raises that to 25 trackers checked every hour.
Can ChatGPT track a price?
Not on its own schedule. In a normal chat an assistant answers when you ask, keeps no record of the last price, and cannot email you when the number changes. It can sometimes look up a current price if it is able to open the store page. A tracker goes back to the page for you and alerts you when the price is different.
Which stores does it work with?
There is no fixed list of stores. The price is read from the page as it is displayed, so it works on public product pages that show a price to a visitor who is not signed in. Some stores block automated visits; in that case no price can be read, and the free first check shows you that before you create an account.
How often is the price checked?
Once every 24 hours on a free account and every hour on Unlimited. A price that drops and goes back up between two checks is missed, so hourly checks matter most for short sales.
What does the alert look like?
It is an email that names the product, shows the new price and the price at the last check, and links to the page. You get one whenever the price is different, down or up. Every alert also links to your trackers page, where you can delete a tracker at any time.
Can I see the price history of a product?
Only from the day you start tracking. Each price change after that is recorded and emailed to you. The tool has no prices from before you set up the tracker, so it cannot tell you what an item cost last month.
Can I monitor a page that has no price?
Yes. Choose "Any change on the page" and the tool saves the current text of the page, then emails you when the wording changes. It compares words and ignores digits, so a visitor counter or a clock does not trigger an alert.
Does it see the price I see when I am logged in?
No. It sees the page as a first-time visitor would: not signed in, with no location, size or color chosen. Member prices, prices that depend on where you are and prices that need a variant to be selected are not read.
What does Unlimited include?
Unlimited costs $29 a month or $180 a year. It gives you 25 trackers checked every hour and covers every other tool on the site, with up to 500 pages or addresses a month. You can cancel at any time.
