Website screenshots

Full-page website screenshots at desktop and phone width, for one address or a whole list

Paste one address or a list. Each page is opened in real Chrome and captured from top to bottom at desktop width (1440 px) and phone width (390 px). The first 2 addresses are free, with no sign-up. Up to 50 addresses in one job cost $5: one payment, no subscription. A chatbot cannot do this job: at best it reads a page's text, and any picture it produces of a site is a drawing, not a capture.

Capture websites

One address per line. Each is captured at desktop and phone width.

No sign-up. First sites free. The whole list $5, one payment.

By continuing you agree to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

  • First 2 addresses free, no account needed
  • Up to 50 addresses for $5, one payment, no subscription
  • Full page from top to bottom, not just the first screen
  • Two captures per address: desktop (1440 px) and phone (390 px)
  • Rendered in real Chrome, so JavaScript runs and images load
  • JPG files, one at a time or everything as one ZIP

What you get back

Two image files for every address: the whole page as a desktop visitor sees it and the whole page as a phone visitor sees it. Before each capture the page is scrolled once from top to bottom, so images that load only when they come into view are in the picture.

  • A full-page desktop capture, 1440 px wide
  • A full-page phone capture at 390 px width, saved at double resolution so text stays sharp
  • JPG files named after the site and page, such as example.com-pricing-desktop.jpg
  • Each file on its own, or all of them in one ZIP

Why a chatbot cannot take a screenshot of a website

ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini are useful once you have a screenshot: upload one and they can describe it or review the design. Making the capture is a different job. It takes a browser that loads the page, lays it out at a set width and saves the pixels, and a chat window does not hand that back as files.

Your situation A chatbot This tool
You have a screenshot and want feedback Reads the image you upload and comments on it well Not its job: it makes the capture
You need a picture of a live page Reads the page text at best, with no image of it Captures the real page in Chrome
You ask it to "show" the site May generate an image that only resembles a website Saves what the browser rendered
The whole page, top to bottom No capture to scroll Full-page image, lazy-loaded images included
Desktop and phone versions Can describe responsive design, cannot show it Both widths for every address
40 client pages before a redesign Not possible in a chat One list in, one ZIP out

How to take full-page screenshots of a list of websites

  1. 1

    Paste the addresses

Paste one page address or a list, one per line. Any public page works, not only home pages: pricing pages, product pages, articles.

  2. 2

    See the first captures free

The first 2 addresses are captured at desktop and phone width. Open them and check that the pages look the way you expect.

  3. 3

    Unlock the list and download

Unlock up to 50 addresses for $5, then save single JPG files or download everything as one ZIP.

Why screenshots trip up general AI assistants

A screenshot is a record of what a browser drew. To make one, something has to load the page, run its scripts, fetch its images and fonts, lay everything out at a given width and save the result. A chat assistant that can browse usually receives the text of a page, not a rendering of it, so there is nothing to photograph.

Ask a chatbot to show you a website and one of two things tends to happen. It tells you it cannot, which is the honest answer. Or it uses its image generator and produces a picture that looks like a website in general. That picture is a drawing: the layout, the wording and the prices in it were made up, and it is of no use as a record.

Some assistants have agent modes that operate a browser, and those can look at a page. They work one page at a time and are not built to hand you a folder of full-page image files at two widths. For a list of addresses, a dedicated capture tool is the right fit.

What people use it for

  • Before-and-after records of a redesign or a migration
  • Client reports and proposals at an agency
  • Design review and QA at desktop and phone width
  • Portfolio images of sites you have built
  • Archiving pages that may change or disappear
  • Keeping a dated record of competitor pricing and landing pages

Getting good captures, and what the tool does not do

Use the exact address of the page you want, including the path. Each address gets its own pair of files, so a list of twenty pages from one site is fine. Addresses without "https://" are accepted and opened over https.

The capture shows what a first-time visitor sees. If a site shows a cookie banner or a newsletter pop-up to new visitors, it will be in the picture. The phone capture is made with a phone-sized screen and a phone browser identity, so sites that serve a separate mobile layout show that layout.

Only public pages can be captured. Pages behind a login cannot be opened, and some sites block automated visits and return an error page or nothing. Videos and animations are captured as a single still frame. The first 2 addresses are free, so you can check how your pages come out before paying.

Questions and answers

Is the website screenshot tool free?

The first 2 addresses in a job are captured free, at desktop and phone width, and you do not need an account. Without an account you can run 1 free job a day; a free account raises that to 3 a day and adds file download.

How much does a whole list cost?

$5, paid once, for one job of up to 50 addresses. Every address gets a full-page desktop and a full-page phone screenshot, and you can download all of them as one ZIP. There is no subscription. Tax is included in the price shown.

Can ChatGPT take a screenshot of a website?

Not in a normal chat. A chatbot that browses reads the text of a page; it does not render the page and save an image of it. If it gives you a picture of a website, that picture was generated, not captured. This tool opens each address in real Chrome and saves what the browser drew.

Does it capture the full page or only the visible part?

The full page, from the top to the bottom. The page is scrolled once before the capture so that images which load only when they come into view are included.

What sizes and format are the screenshots?

Each address is captured twice: at desktop width (1440 px) and at phone width (390 px, saved at double resolution). The files are JPG. You can save them one by one or download everything as a ZIP.

Can I screenshot many websites at once?

Yes. Paste a list of addresses, one per line. A $5 job takes up to 50 addresses and a Unlimited plan takes up to 100 per job.

Which pages can it capture?

Any public page with an http or https address, including pages built with JavaScript. Pages behind a login cannot be opened, and some sites block automated visits. Cookie banners and pop-ups shown to first-time visitors appear in the capture.

Are my screenshots private?

Only you can open your job and its files. Jobs started without an account are deleted after 7 days, and you can delete any job yourself at any time.

What does Unlimited include?

Unlimited costs $29 a month or $180 a year and covers every tool on the site, with up to 500 pages or addresses a month and up to 100 addresses in one screenshot job. You can cancel at any time.
